About Me

Diana grew up in San Francisco, where she attended St. Ignatius College Prep. St. Ignatius’s philosophy of being a person for others inspired Diana to use her skills for the betterment of others. That is what drove her to teach others since she was 14 years old.

During her college years at UC Berkeley, she started a popular writing course for undergraduates called “Magazine Writing and Publishing.” She invited well-known journalists, such as Clay Felker, the founder of New York Magazine, to speak. In graduate school, she was elected Student Body President and created the Business Leadership Forum, where the Chief Economist of Chevron and VP of Levi Strauss were guest speakers.

After graduating, she briefly worked at the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster, a global law firm, because she was very drawn to advocacy work. Shortly after, she explored the education field, where she worked as the Academic Manager for a worldwide tutoring and test prep company. She managed the South Bay, Peninsula, and Santa Cruz offices. Diana realized that education was the best path to merge her passion for advocacy and consulting.

Diana founded Millennial Prep in 2010 because she believes wholeheartedly in a personalized approach to learning. She recognizes that each student learns differently, and she takes that into consideration when she tutors. She has built long-term relationships with parents and students. Some of her students started tutoring with Diana since the 6th grade and continue to see her throughout all four years of high school. As an educator in the Cupertino area for 13 years, she has an in-depth understanding of the local curriculum.

She also has an intuitive understanding of how students think about concepts, which helps her explain problems in ways that students find easy to digest. She specializes in college counseling, test prep, reading comprehension and essay writing. She has taught test prep for over 13 years. Recently, she was interviewed by an education reporter for U.S. News and World Report.

She received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley with Highest Distinction and has a Master’s degree in Business. She has also worked in the Admissions office at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Diana also served as an Admissions Evaluator for UC San Diego and UC Berkeley, where she reviewed applications for Southern California and Silicon Valley.
