SAT / ACT Private Tutoring FAQ

When you reach out to Diana, she will review a recent test to precisely zone in on the areas you need help with. If a test is not available, she can provide one for you. She will also ask you a few questions, so she can better understand your specific situation. She will let you know what the plan will be.

Students typically meet once a week for one hour. Weekly homework will be assigned. If students need support with math, we have SAT and ACT math specialists who can assist.

You don’t need to bring anything, except for yourself. I provide all the notes and curriculum materials for you, so you can just focus on the strategies.

I will prioritize the topics that I noticed in your diagnostic test. I tend to pack in at least 2 concepts (sometimes 3) during the first session, and I’ll reinforce those concepts with some light homework. Students find my teaching style to be engaging, easy to understand, and straight to the point.

I am able to be efficient because I have reverse-engineered the SAT and ACT. I teach students an easy method to approach the questions. Whether they are stuck between two juicy answers or figuring out what the passage is relaying, I take pride in offering practical solutions that work for each student. I have also been tutoring the SAT and ACT for the last 13 years, so have had ample time to continually develop and refine my curriculum.

If you’re scoring around 630 – 650 in the Reading and Grammar sections, I tend to meet with students anywhere from 5 to 8 hours.

A majority of our students meet with us for less than 15 hours to achieve the results they need. Rather than spending long hours studying for a test, students are able to focus on what they specifically need to know while maintaining a balanced schedule, whether it be over the summer or throughout the academic school year.
